| “Het Prinsenhof” (The Prince-garden) Is fit up again in the seventies to hull barley. Originally this octagonal bovenkruier (windmill of which only the cap is movable) with scaffolding was also build as peeling-mill about 1722. In the early years of this century the mill digested shells, and from 1918 till 1954 “Het Prinsenhof” grinded wood-saw-dust into wood-meal to fabricate linoleum. This was dangerous work, because of the fire- and explosion-danger. But the skills of the miller prevent accidents to happen. In 1960 the association “De Zaansche Molen” became owner of the mill. | |
